(DENVER) The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds’ (ARVC) Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) has been recognized as one of the top 100 trade shows in the U.S. in two categories at the annual Trade Show Executive Awards.
OHCE 2018 was saluted specifically for impressive attendance growth after posting the highest number of unique campgrounds (294) to attend the conference since 2014, and a 7% year-over-year increase in overall attendees and exhibitors.
“We are proud to have ARVC honored by Trade Show Executive for our success at OHCE,” says ARVC President and CEO Paul Bambei. “As the outdoor hospitality industry continues to grow, OHCE is also growing allowing ARVC to connect more campground owners and operators in the industry, offering them education and networking opportunities they can’t get anywhere else. It is a testament to the hard work of all our staff to earn this award and to ARVC’s many partners, sponsors and exhibitors who were part of making OHCE such an outstanding event.”
“We look to continue to improve the OHCE experience for all of our attendees, building off the award-winning 2018 event to have the biggest and best OHCE ever this year in Knoxville.”
OHCE is a four-day event from Nov. 4-7 in Knoxville, Tenn. including more than 40 educational seminars, a trade show with more than 120 vendors, tours of local campgrounds, a CPR/disaster preparedness class and ARVC’s Awards of Excellence program.

The Trade Show Executive rankings focus on growth in attendance, exhibition space and number of exhibitors. Rankings are given to remarkable conferences and shows that post robust growth rates in one, two or all three key metric categories and are among the leading trade shows for their individual industry sectors.
Only 38 percent of conferences and tradeshows in 2018 posted growth rates in more than one category—ARVC’s OHCE 2018 was one of those top shows. The 7% growth in overall attendance at OHCE 2018 outpaced the overall attendance growth seen in the exhibitions industry, which nudged up a mere 0.1%.
