Resiliency was the central theme on the third day at the virtual 2020 Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE), the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds’ (ARVC) annual conference. The message was voiced by Keynote Speaker Gretchen Rubin and several winners of ARVC’s Awards of Excellence, who shared advice and stories about overcoming adversity after a challenging 2020 during another busy day at OHCE2020.

The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) named this year’s best parks at the 2020 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE), held November 2-5 as a virtual conference. The Park of the Year Awards are a signature part of ARVC’s Awards of Excellence, which are presented annually to the standout parks and individuals in the outdoor hospitality industry.

The second day of the 2020 Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) was highlighted by a tour of campgrounds across the country during the Opening General Session, the always-popular Reservation Management Panel and the first two education sessions of the week. It was a busy day, with the conference attracting more than 5,085 visits from 543 unique visitors to the virtual site so far during the first two days of National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds’ (ARVC) annual conference. 

The 2020 Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) opened online yesterday, with more than 750 attendees registered for the first day of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds’ (ARVC) annual conference. The opening day saw large crowds logging in to the virtual platform for virtual Takeaway Tours of three ARVC-member parks and the debut of ARVC’s new Hosted Buyer Program, which matched pre-approved OHCE attendees with exhibitors for meetings, replicating the true one-on-one nature of the expo floor.

The ARVC Foundation Auction has always been one of the highlights of the annual Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE), as members of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) come together to bid on amazing items to support the ARVC Foundation. This year, the ARVC Foundation is excited to pivot to a fully online auction, taking place from Nov. 2-5 during the virtual OHCE2020.

In response to the numerous challenges 2020 has presented, the ARVC Foundation has pivoted to ensure its fundraising efforts will continue to provide support for those in the outdoor hospitality industry. 

The National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) is announcing the 2020 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE), the premiere event of the outdoor hospitality industry, will be presented virtually this year in response to health concerns related to the COVID pandemic. The decision was announced following a vote by the ARVC Board of Directors. 

March is National Women’s History Month, so we thought this would be the perfect time to honor all of the smart, talented, hard-working women who have helped make the outdoor hospitality industry the success that it is today. We wish we had the space to recognize each one of them individually (that would be one seriously long blog post), but since we don’t, here’s a sampling of the many amazing women who contribute so much to our industry.

The ARVC Foundation announces six scholarship recipients for the National School of RV Park & Campground Management in Myrtle Beach, S.C. National School is a high-quality educational program that focuses on business management principles and practices as applied to the RV park and campground industry. The program brings leading industry experts into the classroom to provide attendees with the skills and expertise they need to make a positive impact on their campground and in the industry.
