It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the passing of beloved ARVC member James “Jim” Leaming on February 22. Jim served on the Northeast Campground Association’s (NCA) Board of Directors as the Massachusetts representative from 2014 to 2018 and was the immediate past chairman of the Massachusetts Association of Campground Owners (MACO).

Jim was the general manager of the Jellystone Campground in Sturbridge, Mass. for 35 years until his illness. Along with his leadership roles in NCA and MACO, he was also a member and current chairman of the Town of Sturbridge Chamber of Commerce; and a member of the Yogi Advisory Council. He enjoyed participating in the 50-mile MS Challenge Walk and took great pride in mentoring the kids at the campground. James had an avid interest in antiques and loved going to flea markets.
